Four Ways To Stick To A Healthy Work Routine if you are working from home.

During the COVID-19 pandemic many of us worked from home, whilst this was a temporary situation for some, others have found it slightly more permanent whether though their own choice or employers opting to run their business this way.

For those of you seeking the stability of office life when working from home here are The Dock Hub’s top four tips to help you along.

But for those who would like to be back out in the land of the living, mixing and networking with other like minded people why not take a look at what offices we have available, or join us as a Coworker.

One: Get Up Early

Sure, the temptation to stay in bed until as late as possible is fun at first, but you will soon find that the working day disappears. Before you know it, that lie in will mean you are finishing your to do list well into the evening.

Getting up ten minutes before your first zoom call can also leave you unprepared and sluggish.

Establish a simple morning routine with a no-snooze-button morning alarm that leaves you enough time to get your hair and mind ready for a productive day’s work.

Two: Follow The Office Routine

Keep your working days separate from your all important days off by following your usual office routine.

Stick to a daily plan that involves periods of work and an allocated lunch break (and tea breaks!) plus the times you will start and end work.

Why not try the famous Pomodoro method too to focus on one task at a time and be rewarded with a fully checked off to-do list and regular breaks!

Three: Make An Office Space At Home

If your partner, children, dog, or television are causing too many distractions when working from home you have two options: create an office in your house, or hire a one-person office space at The Dock Hub!

We know that for some finding space may be an issue and a home office may not be feasible.

For those who do have this option, ensure that the office is away from all distractions and establish clear rules about when you can (and can’t) be disturbed - that foolproof office routine you set up in the previous step will help!

Four: Hire a One-Person Office

If you are still struggling to concentrate, then consider hiring a one-person office space to do your work. A Dock Hub one-person office space gives you the distance from home life, but without the health risk your normally busy place of work may have.

Renting an office for yourself is very affordable & can be flexible to suit your needs PLUS, in a one-person office, you will meet other (currently socially distanced) people doing the same so you have that all important social element. This often underestimated factor of the work-life balance will keep your mind clear and healthy for the jobs ahead.

Hire an Office Space Today!

Stop procrastinating! Follow our tips, then call The Dock Hub and discuss renting an office space - flexible options are now available.

Working in peace from your Dock Hub office will guarantee* your productivity will sky rocket so ring us immediately to chat through your options.

*it’s our theory and we’re sticking to it!
